Terms of service

1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Interweb.SEO ("the Service") at app.interweb.media, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Interweb Media ("we", "us"), South Africa.
2. Description of the Service
Interweb. is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) SEO platform that provides:
- Automated website crawling and technical SEO auditing
- Actionable recommendations ranked by severity
- Keyword rank tracking
- Competitor analysis and gap identification
- Google Search Console (GSC) data integration
- AI-assisted growth planning and scenario simulation
- Gamified quest system (The Nexus) including Campaign, Duel, Lab, and Daily Grind quests
- XP, level, streak, badge, and credits-based progression system
The Service is provided on an "as-is" basis. Feature availability may change over time.
3. Accounts
3.1 Registration
You must provide a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
3.2 Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement.
3.3 Accurate information
You agree to provide accurate information and to update it if it changes. We reserve the right to suspend accounts with false or misleading information.
3.4 One account per user
You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent limits, earn duplicate credits, or abuse the platform. We may merge or terminate duplicate accounts.
4. Credit wallet
4.1 What credits are
Credits are a virtual currency used within the Service to access AI-powered features, crawls, reports, recommendations, quests, checks, link-related workflows, and other in-app actions. Credits have no monetary value outside the Service, cannot be withdrawn as cash, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred between accounts.
4.2 Purchasing credits
Credits may be purchased through Paystack in ZAR (South African Rand) or USD where available. All payments are processed by Paystack and may be subject to Paystack's payment processing terms. We issue purchased credits to your account once payment has been confirmed.
4.3 Refunds, cancellations and disputes
Refund eligibility depends on whether credits have been used. Once credits have been used for audits, crawls, AI-generated outputs, reports, recommendations, checks, link-related workflows, quest actions, or any other service action, those credits may not be refundable because the Service has already consumed processing, data, AI, or operational resources.
Unused purchased credits may be reviewed for refund eligibility where a customer contacts us with a valid payment concern, duplicate payment, billing error, accidental purchase, or other reasonable refund request. Refunds are not automatic and will be assessed case by case, subject to applicable consumer protection law.
If a customer is unhappy with a purchase, wants to cancel further use, or wishes to dispute a payment, they should contact us at support@interweb.media with their account email, transaction reference, purchase date, and reason for the request. We will review the account activity, payment record, and credit usage history before confirming whether a refund, partial refund, support resolution, or other outcome applies.
Customers can stop using the Service at any time. Used credits cannot be restored or refunded except where required by applicable law or confirmed by Interweb in writing.
4.4 Earned, bonus and promotional credits
Credits may also be earned, unlocked, awarded, or granted through in-app activity, level-up bonuses, streak milestones, badge rewards, quest rewards, promotional offers, goodwill credits, system grants, or other bonus mechanisms.
Earned, unlocked, promotional, bonus, or system-granted credits are provided only for use within the Service. They have no cash value, are not refundable, are not redeemable for money, and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or paid out. These credits may be used in the same way as purchased credits inside the Service, but they do not create any right to a cash refund or monetary credit.
4.5 Credit expiry and account activity
Credits do not expire while your account remains active, unless a specific promotional offer clearly states otherwise. We may review, suspend, or remove credits that were granted in error, obtained through abuse, linked to fraudulent activity, or used in breach of these Terms.
4.6 Account closure
Upon account deletion or permanent account closure, any remaining credit balance is forfeited. We do not provide cash redemption, payout, transfer, or refund for unused credits remaining in a closed account, except where required by applicable law or confirmed by Interweb in writing.
4.7 Credit pricing
Credit costs for individual features are displayed in the interface at the time of use or purchase. We may change credit costs, credit packages, bonus credit rules, or promotional credit offers from time to time. Where practical, we will provide reasonable notice of material changes.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to crawl or audit websites that promote or facilitate sports betting, casino games, gambling, or pornographic content
- Use the Service to crawl websites you do not own or have explicit authorisation to audit
- Use the Service to collect, scrape, or harvest data from third-party websites in violation of their terms
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service
- Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the Service outside of documented integrations
- Submit malicious URLs, scripts, or payloads via any input field
- Circumvent rate limits, credit requirements, or access controls
- Share your account credentials with others
- Use the Service to engage in any activity that is illegal under applicable law
- Interfere with or disrupt the infrastructure of the Service or its providers
Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.
6. Crawling and site data
6.1 Your authorisation
By adding a domain to the Service, you represent and warrant that you own the domain or have authorisation from the domain owner to crawl and audit it.
6.2 robots.txt compliance
Our crawler respects robots.txt directives. If your site's robots.txt disallows crawling, the Service will not crawl disallowed paths.
6.3 Crawl volume
Crawls are rate-limited and designed to have minimal impact on site performance. We are not liable for any performance impact caused by the crawling process, though we make reasonable efforts to keep crawl frequency low.
7. Google Search Console integration
Connecting GSC is optional. By connecting GSC you grant us read-only OAuth access to your verified Search Console property. You may revoke this access at any time. We use GSC data solely to populate your dashboard and are not responsible for the accuracy of data provided by Google.
8. AI-generated content
AI features generate text-based recommendations and simulations. This content is informational only and does not constitute professional SEO, legal, financial, or technical advice. Results are not guaranteed. We do not warrant that AI-generated suggestions will improve your search rankings or traffic.
9. Intellectual property
9.1 Our IP
All software, algorithms, scoring systems, UI components, and original content on the Service are the property of Interweb Media. You may not reproduce or redistribute them without permission.
9.2 Your content
You retain ownership of your site content, keywords, and competitor data you provide. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process this data to provide the Service.
9.3 Feedback
If you submit feedback, suggestions, or bug reports, you grant us a royalty-free licence to use that feedback to improve the Service without obligation to you.
10. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may:
- Perform scheduled or emergency maintenance
- Add, modify, or remove features at any time
- Change credit costs with at least 14 days notice
- Discontinue the Service with 60 days notice, during which we will honour reasonable refund requests for unused purchased credits
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT RESULTS WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS. SEO OUTCOMES DEPEND ON MANY FACTORS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL, INCLUDING SEARCH ENGINE ALGORITHM CHANGES.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Interweb Media's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of rankings, traffic, revenue, or data.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Interweb Media from any claims, damages, or costs (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
14. Account termination
14.1 By you
You may delete your account at any time from the account settings page. Retained deletion preserves limited progress state for same-email signup recovery; permanent deletion removes recovery data. Personal data is handled per our Privacy Policy.
14.2 By us
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent or abusive activity
- Non-payment (where applicable)
- Extended inactivity (> 24 months), with 30 days email notice
Upon termination for cause, unused credits are forfeited.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts. Before initiating legal proceedings, you agree to contact us at support@interweb.media and allow 30 days for good-faith resolution.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We will notify you by email for material changes and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with changes, you may delete your account before the effective date.
